Bolts, Nuts and Washers in AISI 309 (1.4828)

GNS Nederland has further expanded its range of special-grade fasteners with grade 1.4828 (AISI 309).
AISI 309 (1.4828) is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel (X 15 CrNiSi 20 12) used for components that need to withstand both corrosion and high temperatures.
Grade 1.4828 is known for its good creep strength and tensile strength, as well as its excellent oxidation resistance at continuous operating temperatures of up to approximately 1050°C.
Its strength at elevated temperatures is comparable to that of AISI 304 (1.4301), while it offers better resistance to marine atmospheres than AISI 304.
AISI 309 (1.4828) is generally regarded as a heat-resistant alloy.
