Handy Rolls of Spring Steel Strip. Now That’s a Different Kind of Cookie…

During the production of stroopwafels (Dutch syrup waffles), 20 x 0.1 mm spring steel strip is used for cutting.
The spring steel knives used to cut the waffles lengthwise don’t last forever, unfortunately, and need to be replaced after a certain period of time. It is therefore very convenient for maintenance technicians to have manageable rolls that can easily be carried into the machine.
A cookie manufacturer asked us if we could supply 50-metre rolls.
No problem.
We supplied 10 handy rolls, each containing approximately 50 metres of spring steel strip. That means the manufacturer can continue cutting hundreds of thousands of stroopwafels for some time to come.
And yes, there was one more requirement: the strip had to be cut perfectly straight.
“But surely that goes without saying?” we replied, slightly surprised.
