New qualities high temperature structural steel

21 March 2022

High temperature strutural steels are also called creep-resistant steels. These steels are characterized by their high tensile strength combined with a high creep strength and toughness, also at elevated temperatures.

In comparison, non-alloyed steel can be used up to about 350° C, while the highly alloyed CrMo vanadium (Ni) steels – depending on the alloy – will be applied to about 600° C.

The range of GNS has recently expanded with the qualities 25CrMo4(1.7218), 25CrMo5 (1.7258) 13CrMo4-5 (1.7218) 21CrMoV5-7(1.7709) and 24CrMoV5-5 (1.7733).
