There is quite a bit of confusion about the rings and collars that can be used to connect pipe with a lap-joint flange. There are 6 types of rings and collars standardized according to the applicable standard – EN1092-1. Five of them for lap-joint flange EN1092-1/type 2 and one collar especially for lap-joint flange type 4.
For lap-joint flanges, the following EN1092-1 rings and collars can be applied:
Type 32: Weld-on collar plate Look here for PN16 and here for PN40.
Type 33: Lapped pipe end Look here for PN16.
Type 34: Weld-neck collar (for type 4) Look here for PN16.
